Caramelized Onion Dip Recipe

Yield: 6 Servings

  1  tb Unsalted butter  
  1  Large red onion, sliced  
  1/2  c Mayonnaise  
  1/4  ts Cayenne pepper  

   1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  1/8  ts Tabasco sauce  
  1  tb  oil  
  1/2  c Sour cream  
  1/4  ts Salt  
  1  ts Red pepper flakes  

  1. Slowly saute onion in butter and oil until caramelized (golden brown), about 20 minutes.
  2. Cool and combine the remaining ingredients.
  3. Mix well and chill for at least 1 hour.
  Serve with crackers or chips.
